Microsoft announced the availability of the new and improved Subscription pricing effective 1/1/14. Only certain partners and hosters are able to offer subscription pricing. While this pricing has been available to RoseASP in 2013, it was not cost effective nor was the product offered on a monthly basis and it was unavailable for fewer than three users. Only annual subscriptions were available versus the current month to month option. These shortcomings of Subscription Pricing have changed and now we find the program a benefit to partners.
Why is RoseASP moving to Subscription pricing?
First and foremost Subscription pricing provides greater visibility to your customers in VOICE. Subscription customers can now be viewed in VOICE by each partner along with the monthly subscription revenue credit. Each customer will receive their own registration keys, which will make selling and ordering ISV solutions easier. Customers will show up in VOICE immediately, rather than being delayed by two months which is the case with SPLA. Partners will also be able to sign up their own customers for CustomerSource access.
Will moving to Subsciption Pricing Change the price to the end Customer?
No, pricing to the end customer will stay the same. No changes to existing customers or new quotes.
Which Customers can move to Subscription Pricing?
Only those customers using Dynamics GP 2013 and NAV 2013 can take advantage of subscription pricing. Subscription pricing is not available for SL or AX customers.
How and When will this transition happen?
RoseASP will move over customers on GP 2013 and NAV 2013 beginning February 1, 2014. Customers must also be on the 2013 product or be testing for upgrades on the 2013 product. Customers with ISV solutions will be required to get new registration keys, so we will begin moving those customers who have no ISV solutions initially, with additional customers being moved as keys become available.
How will this affect my VOICE account?
Partners will see a New Customer Add for each customer moved from SPLA to Subscription. Partners will also see a negative number adjustment on VOICE along with a positive 24X revenue number adjustment for the cost of the license times the number of seats times 24 months. Then each month thereafter Partners will see a (1x) revenue-add for each seat as was previously done for SPLA customers. The net VOICE revenue adjustment should be neutral.
